Unleashing the Past: MeccaGodZilla Teams Up with MF Mez, Junclassic, Majesty, & K.Sise on “Godzilla Warfare”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

October 25, 2024 – New York, NY – MeccaGodZilla goes into the vault to uncover a gem from 2006 known as “Godzilla Warfare.” Featuring the lyrical prowess of MF Mez, Majesty, Junclassic, and K. Sise, this track serves as a testament to the raw talent and camaraderie of the time, as these MCs were the youngest members and now former members of the legendary Monsta Island Czars (M.I.C.) rap group. The electrifying track, produced by MF Mez, is a true reflection of their collective artistry.

In 2006, this powerhouse collective recorded this anthem that, though unheard for years, is now set to be part of MeccaGodZilla’s “Hidden Jewels of Mecca” series, finally allowing fans to experience the magic captured in the studio.

“Godzilla Warfare” is a celebration of the energy and creativity that defined this legendary group. Produced by MF Mez, the track showcases each MC’s unique style and lyrical ability, creating a dynamic blend of powerful verses over a monstrous instrumental. As MeccaGodZilla reflects on the collaboration, he states, “I used to always make beats, and I will never forget the day Mez asked me about making beats – I burned him a copy of Sonic Foundry’s Acid. Mez took a liking to the software and got his weight up… I will never forget how FAST Mez’s skill advanced. It was inspiring to run with Mez; dude is a sponge, and we both learned a lot and were super hungry.”

The lineup for this track is nothing short of iconic, with each artist bringing their A-game to the mic. We were recording out of a penthouse on 2 Gold Street down by Wall Street – I have to get Mez to tell the story of how that even happened! The synergy between these talented individuals resulted in a song that resonates with the spirit and essence of NYC’s underground Hip-Hop scene. MeccaGodZilla continues, “We did mad shows, ciphered all over NYC, and just went in as a team. We were buzzing like crazy back then. So many memories and amazing moments with Junclassic, Majesty, and K. Sise as well – all of them are phenomenal writers, and I’m grateful we’re still family (RIP Majesty of Legendary Ciphers!)… We are a part of the fabric of the scene, and I’m grateful we have such an amazing record together!”

“Godzilla Warfare” is not just a song; it’s a piece of history that encapsulates the sound underground New York Hip Hop in the early 2000s. As it makes its long-awaited debut, fans can finally hear what this incredible collaboration has to offer. The order of MCs on the song appear as follows:
