Click Clack: The Jerrold Experiment (CD)

After a decade of quiet evolution, MeccaGodZilla returns to one of his most distinctive bodies of work with the instrumental album series “Click Clack: The Jerrold Experiment,” a instrumental Hip Hop album series rooted in memory, experimentation, and the formative sound language of early Hip Hop beatmaking.

Originally premiering on The Word Is Bond in 2016, Click Clack  began as a collection of archived retro instrumental Hip Hop songs paying homage to retro culture. Drawing inspiration from 1980s American cartoons, Japanese anime, and broadcast television, the project helped establish MeccaGodZilla’s reputation for blending deep cultural memory with unconventional production choices. Nostalgia is not treated as imitation here, but as raw creative material.  

Spanning approximately 90 minutes of instrumental Hip Hop music, Click Clack: The Jerrold Experiment is too expansive to exist on a single disc. The CD edition is presented across two compact discs, preserving the full scope, pacing, and intention of the project.

Rooted in retro broadcast culture and early Hip Hop discipline, this physical release honors the album as a complete statement. Each disc carries a portion of the larger narrative, designed for uninterrupted listening and repeat exploration. This is not a playlist. It is a body of work.
