MECCAGODZILLA UNLEASHES “FLOOD THE GATES” FEATURING RAYLONG, THE LATE SPIEGA & RODAN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BROOKLYN, NY | October 10, 2026 — Underground Hip Hop producer and MC MeccaGodZilla releases “Flood The Gates,” a powerful new single featuring Raylong, the late Spiega, and RODAN, reconnecting artists whose shared history reaches back to New York City’s influential underground Hip Hop scene.

Produced by MeccaGodZilla, who also delivers the track’s third verse, “Flood The Gates” is a no-compromise display of rugged boom bap production, heavyweight lyricism, and raw East Coast Hip Hop energy. The release serves as the third single from MeccaGodZilla’s forthcoming album, SYNTAX ERROARS.

A Legacy That Runs Deep

For longtime underground Hip Hop listeners, the names RODAN and Spiega carry considerable weight.

RODAN, known for his intricate rhyme patterns, rapid-fire delivery, and intellectually charged lyricism, emerged from the same early creative circles as KMD before establishing himself as a standout underground MC. His appearances on MF DOOM-related projects and his acclaimed 2004 solo album, Theophany: The Book of Elevations, cemented his reputation among dedicated underground Hip Hop fans.

His appearance on “Flood The Gates” brings a rarely heard voice back into the spotlight.

Spiega (RIP), whose commanding baritone delivery and razor-sharp punchlines made him a memorable presence in New York’s underground Hip Hop scene, passed away in November 2022. His contributions to the 2003 album Escape from Monsta Island, including “Became a Monsta” and “Under Pressure,” remain part of his recorded legacy.

His appearance on “Flood The Gates” carries special significance, preserving the voice of an artist remembered by his peers for his lyrical ability, generosity, and powerful stage presence.

Raylong, also known as Monsta Zero, brings his own connection to New York’s independent Hip Hop legacy. His catalog includes Spazz Sessions, X-Ray’s Monsta Mixes, and collaborations with fellow underground artists, including Tommy Gunn. His history with MeccaGodZilla and Spiega extends back to earlier studio sessions and recordings.

From Underground Hip Hop to Cinematic Destruction

Accompanying the single is a cinematic music video that transforms New York City into an apocalyptic disaster zone.

Inspired by giant-monster cinema, the visual features a towering vortex of seawater, lightning, submerged vehicles, and a flooded Times Square, creating an explosive visual backdrop for the track’s uncompromising boom bap sound.

The result combines MeccaGodZilla’s passion for Hip Hop, Japanese monster cinema, and visual storytelling into an ambitious independent release.

More than a nostalgic reunion, “Flood The Gates” is a celebration of lyrical craftsmanship, brotherhood, and the enduring creative spirit of underground Hip Hop.

The single is available now on major streaming platforms, with its cinematic music video available on YouTube.
